Version History: 1.0 and Every Launch Patch

Current version

1.0.0c2, released 28 August 2026.

The pace of the first nine days matters if you are following guides written elsewhere: four patches shipped in that window, and two of them changed things guides had already documented. Anything written before 26 August calls Team Bond “Friendship.”

1.0.0c2 — 28 August 2026

A sub-hotfix. Fixed a Bio Lab Boss Rush final boss issue.

1.0.0c — 26 August 2026

The most consequential patch so far, because it renamed a system.

The rename. “Friendship” became Team Bond, in the studio’s words “to better reflect the fact of it being a shared total bonus to Cash and Specialization Points gained by the whole team.” Same mechanic, clearer name — full explanation here.

The 250 cap. The same patch fixed the maximum total Team Bond value, which had made the Survivor Crossing Torment unobtainable. Maximum value is 250.

Other changes worth carrying:

  • Save-slot deletion returned — you can reset the first save profile again from the Change Save Slot screen
  • Remappable “Speed up” and “Slow down” hotkeys on PC, with the warning that speeds below 100% automatically disable leaderboards
  • FPS Counter and Hide Build Version settings added
  • New missions now appear in the Mission Log after reading the brief, without playing them first
  • Trauma (the Medic’s first mission) eased: items required 3 → 2
  • XP gems continue dropping past their total limit, with older gems combining into nearby ones — no XP lost
  • Last Unicorn correctly tagged as a healing item
  • Monkey Business achievement fixed
  • SWAT’s Ricochet: Shattering evolution fixed to actually deal Slashing damage
  • Tank’s Bombing Strike: Bioweapon evolution given its missing visual effects
  • Ghost’s Kunai Dance visuals de-jittered
  • A tooltip explaining Team Bond added to the second end-of-run screen

1.0.0b — 21 August 2026

  • Gameplay interfaces no longer capped at 60 FPS
  • Mouse cursor can be toggled between sticking to the window and leaving it
  • Cooling Mods (Mechanic): the extra damage instance now applies before the weapon’s own, so a one-hit kill registers as Ice damage
  • Bio Lab now selectable on the leaderboards
  • Items spawned by 99’th Balloon now count toward mission objectives
  • Good Boy and Falcon ability sound effects reduced in frequency
  • Healthpak pickup logic fixed
  • XP gems no longer spawn in one single spot
  • Turkish-language text rendering fixed

1.0.0a — 20 August 2026

Same-day hotfix.

  • Fixed the interface locking on the SELECT AREA screen
  • Fixed a lock when killed by the Bio Lab decontamination zone
  • Fixed Engineer model glitching
  • Ice Turret now registers its damage type as Ice
  • Fixed the Taser weapon description in German

1.0 — 20 August 2026

Three years of Early Access ended here, with an update the studio said was “the size of around four typical major content updates.”

Added: Ranger (ninth survivor, Survival Level 175) · Bio Lab (fifth arena, after Dead Terminal on Default) · Boss Rush (after Hardcore, per map) · the Survivors’ Camp hub · over 1,000 lines of dialogue · 5 main bosses, 2 standard bosses and 3 new standard enemies · Rank 5 for every survivor · 88 new achievements, 64 of them Story · 15 main story, 45 survivor and 19 repeatable missions · the Team Bond system (as Friendship) · 28 Torments · new bust art for every survivor · 21 new items · Steam community items · and, listed as its own bullet point, “Dogs.”

Balance changes that shifted how runs feel:

  • Difficulty 2 and 3 horde stat modifiers increased slightly
  • Basic zombie spawn intensity slightly reduced; elite spawn chance slightly increased
  • Boss enemy base HP increased by one quarter
  • Most weapon attacks no longer lose damage on penetration
  • Burst and multi-projectile attacks roll critical chance once for the whole group rather than per projectile
  • Achievement rewards swapped: “Why’d You Pick That?” now grants Great Nade instead of Skip Rope; “Curly Little Potato” now grants Easter Egg instead of Jade Amulet

Taken together, 1.0 pushed the game away from crowd-clearing and toward elites and bosses — worth knowing if you last played in Early Access and your old build suddenly feels worse.
